Get This! artist, Gyun Hur is the winner of the inaugural Hudgens Prize awarded by the Hudgens Center for the Arts. She was one of five finalists competing for the $50,000 prize and solo a exhibit at the Hudgens Center. The 5 Finalists for the Hudgens Prize were: Ruth Dusseault of Atlanta, Hope Hilton of Winterville, Gyun Hur of Marietta, Scott Ingram of Atlanta, and Jiha Moon of Atlanta. Congratulations to all the finalists.

Thousand Kisses, In My Living Room:
A one-day performance piece by Gyun Hur
In conjunction with the Westside Arts District 3rd Saturday Art Walk, artist Gyun Hur will engage viewers with a captivating all-day performance inside the gallery.
The performance will take place throughout entire the day; Saturday, July 17, from 10:00AM - 5:00PM.
We welcome all visitors to the gallery to experience the progression of this performance.

Our distinguished panelists will question, comment and dialogue about the popularization of certain trends and social behaviors celebrated within black male culture such as “saggin”. We will discuss the inherent social commentary made by this fashion statement as well as the proliferation of celebrated negative behaviors within black male youth culture.
